Information we collect

Information you send us. If you email SlayAndClay, we receive your email address, name if provided, the contents of your message, and any other information you choose to include.

Technical information. The website and its hosting infrastructure may process an IP address, browser and device type, requested pages, referring page, request time, and security or error logs. This information is needed to deliver the website, diagnose problems, prevent abuse, and maintain security.

Analytics information. After consent, Google Analytics may process visited pages, approximate location, browser and device information, referral source, session and engagement information, and clicks on external links. SlayAndClay does not intentionally send names, email addresses, or health information to Google Analytics.

Cookies and analytics

Essential cookies may be used for website administration, security, and remembering your cookie preference. These cookies are not used for advertising.

With your consent, SlayAndClay uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the website. Google may place analytics cookies on your device. These cookies may remain for up to two years unless you withdraw consent or delete them sooner.

Analytics event-level and user-level data in the SlayAndClay Google Analytics property is configured for automatic deletion after two months, without resetting the retention period when a user returns.

You can decline analytics when the consent notice appears. You can also reopen Cookie preferences or delete cookies through your browser. Declining analytics does not prevent access to the website.

How we use information

  • To provide, secure, maintain, and troubleshoot the website.
  • To understand readership and improve content after analytics consent.
  • To respond to emails and privacy requests.
  • To comply with legal obligations and protect the website, SlayAndClay, and other users.

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, analytics processing is based on consent. Website security, operation, and responding to ordinary correspondence are based on legitimate interests or other lawful grounds available under applicable law.

Service providers and transfers

SlayAndClay uses Spaceship for website hosting and related infrastructure, and Google for consent-based analytics. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy documentation.

Service providers may process data in other countries, including the United States. Where required, international transfers are handled using safeguards available under applicable data-protection law.

Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to respond to valid legal requests, or to protect rights, security, and the integrity of the website. Personal data is not sold.

Retention

Google Analytics user-level and event-level data is retained for up to two months. Analytics cookies may remain in a browser for up to two years unless consent is withdrawn, cookies are deleted, or the browser applies a shorter limit.

Emails are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, keep an appropriate record, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations. Technical and security logs are retained according to operational need and the hosting provider’s retention schedules, then deleted or anonymized when no longer required.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection in relation to your personal data. You may withdraw analytics consent at any time without affecting processing that occurred before withdrawal.

To make a request, email admin@slayandclay.com. SlayAndClay may need to verify the request before responding. You may also have the right to complain to the data-protection authority where you live.

Children’s privacy

SlayAndClay is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed to children under 16. The website does not knowingly collect personal data directly from children. If you believe a child has sent personal data to SlayAndClay, contact us so the information can be reviewed and deleted where appropriate.

Security and external links

Reasonable technical and organizational measures are used to protect the website and the limited personal data processed through it. No method of transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Articles may link to research papers, publishers, public agencies, and other external websites. Their privacy practices are controlled by those websites, not by SlayAndClay.

Changes and contact

This policy may be updated when the website, its services, or applicable requirements change. The revised date will appear at the top of this page.
